Mommy/Daddy?
How do you deal with the breeder's "Mommy and Daddy" mentality. Are you both Mommy? Mommy 1 and Mommy 2? I saw a Law and Order where there was a case of custody between two lesbians, and they were like Mommy Nicole and Mommy Cindy. What do you think of this? Ok enough of my crazy questions! Much Love, ~S~

In our case, we're "Mommy" and "Mama". Both of our children are perfectly happy with that, and the only confusion comes when someone switches to 'Mom' and we're not sure who they mean. =)

What do you mean by "breeder's mentality"? 'Breeder' has a very negative connotation to those of us, gay or straight or otherwise, who have chosen to have children - it's what the anti-children extremists call us.

Whoops, what a contrast.
ohh Sorry love, I had no idea. My friends here refer to straights only as that. It's a term meant to indicate people who look down on us for not having child bearing SEX. But I won't use it any more if it has other connotations! Many Heartfelt appologies all around! Thanks for the info though, very insightful! Much love, ~S~
